I've helped many clients improve their Shopify stores in the past. A lot of them had problems with how their store looks and works, or with getting people to buy their products. This case study will tell you more about these clients. I'll start with an introduction, then talk about each store's story. I'll explain the problems they had and how I helped them solve these problems.
A jewelry client had problems with their WooCommerce website - it was slow, not attractive, and people left it quickly. In fact, their homepage and product page took around 30 seconds to load! They had tried to fix these problems before, but without success.
When I reviewed their website, I suggested a switch to Shopify, a platform better suited for online stores. They agreed. In the following sections, I'll detail how I tackled these issues and significantly improved their website.
Problems | Solutions |
---|---|
Store Performance Issue | The store was transitioned from WooCommerce to Shopify. |
Poor UI/UX | The Belle Shopify Theme was implemented. This theme offers superior UI/UX, is lightweight, and has many features not available with WooCommerce. This resulted in nearly a 212% improvement in the average time spent on the page. |
Landing Page View Rate | After transitioning to Shopify and implementing the lightweight Belle theme, the landing page views increased by approximately 130%. |
Conversion Rate | To enhance the conversion rate, numerous CRO features like Sales pop-up, Sticky Add to Cart, Ajax Cart, Trust Badges, pop-up, Countdown etc. were integrated. This led to a 92% improvement in Add to Cart and 134% in Checkouts. |
So, we had this awesome opportunity to help out a Cat Furniture Store owner who was facing some challenges with their ad campaigns. Despite having fantastic products, they were spending quite a bit of money—over $5000 each month on Google and Meta ads—but their conversion rate wasn't looking too hot. Even worse, their return on ad spend (ROAS) was below 100%.
After taking a deep dive into their ads account and analyzing all the metrics, I pinpointed one major issue lurking in their Shopify store. It turned out there were some structural problems like messy pages, not enough clear calls-to-action, and some user interface and experience issues. Plus, there wasn't enough information for customers to make informed decisions.
So, I reached out to our client and shared my findings about their Shopify store. They were totally on board with taking charge and making some improvements. In the next sections, I'll walk you through how we tackled these issues head-on and made some significant upgrades to their website.
